The National Doctors' Forum ("NDF", "we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and the member services provided through it.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide when you create a member account, apply for membership, register for events, submit forms, or contact us. This may include your name, email, phone number, professional details (such as specialty, designation, institution, and BMDC registration number), and a profile photo. When you make a payment, our payment partner processes the transaction and we retain a payment reference and status — we do not store your full financial credentials.
How we use information
We use your information to administer membership and issue digital member identities, process payments and registrations, run events and issue certificates, operate elections, send transactional messages (receipts, tickets, renewal notices), and — where you have not opted out — send community updates. We use it to maintain the security and integrity of our services.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate (for example, payment, email, SMS, and hosting providers), and where required by law. Limited directory information (such as name, specialty, and institution) is shown publicly only for members who are active and have opted in.
Retention & security
We keep your information for as long as your membership is active and as needed for legal, accounting, and legitimate operational purposes. We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices
You can review and update your profile in the member portal, unsubscribe from community messages at any time using the link in those messages, and request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Some information may be retained where we are required or permitted to do so by law.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to operate the site securely. We do not use them to track you across other websites.
